Welcome

Welcome!

WellCats is Texas State University's Employee Wellness program. Services are free to all benefit-eligible employees. As part of your wellness program, you have access to information about upcoming classes and workshops, nutrition topics, healthy recipes, and health behavior change coaching strategies via a monthly newsletter, Microsoft Teams posts, and our website.

As a TXST Bobcat employee, you are also a WellCats member.

WellCats is a well-being program specifically designed with you in mind. The WellCats well-being program offers free health and wellness education and activities to all benefit-eligible employees of Texas State University. Services are offered virtually and in person.

WellCats Liability Waiver

To participate in some WellCats events, Texas State employees must sign a liability waiver. We recommend that all employees have a signed waiver on file so they're ready to go!

The liability waiver is valid indefinitely. If you have completed registration in the past, you will not need to sign it again.

  • We would like to remind you to please always sign in at your classes or sessions. Accurate attendance records are very important in helping us build a case for the future of the wellness program.

  • Key Services

    • During this 1:1 session, a trained nutrition professional will assess your current diet and help identify goals to improve your diet, overall health, and well-being. If you are responsible for feeding others in your household, you’ll also receive ideas for enhancing their nutrition. Consultations can be held in-person or virtually.

Register for a nutrition consultation today!

    • If you struggle to prioritize healthy behaviors (especially eating healthfully and exercising consistently), then consider attending coaching sessions. You will meet 1-on-1 with a national board-certified health and wellness coach and health and fitness professional to learn how to become more motivated, manage time, develop good habits, and improve your confidence in living a healthy lifestyle.

We are not currently accepting new coaching clients. Please check back in Summer 2024.

    • All PAN Classes are held in FCS 187.

Our ProActive Nutrition (PAN) cooking sessions focus on using whole foods to create healthier versions of popular dishes. Whether you’re seasoned in the kitchen or brand new, we have something everyone will enjoy making.

RSVP for a PAN Session on the Events Calendar!

Note: Please sign up at least 24 hours in advance to ensure enough supplies are provided.
